Billy claims to have had contact with beings from other worlds since he was five years old, but it wasn’t until he was 27 that he became the first official Pleiadian contactee, and in so doing, the most documented abduction case in the history of human-alien relations.  These friendly visitors from space (the first being a lady called Semjase) appeared in his Swiss garden, and haven’t stopped visiting him ever since.  Upon their first meeting, Meier was given a summary of their intentions and reasons for contacting him which are: a) to warn us of our imminent upcoming encounter (and conflict) with other not-so-nice aliens, and  b) to help raise the consciousness of human kind which has been warped by religious beliefs. In the past 30 years Meier has supported his alien interviews with pictures, videos, detailed conversation writings, prophecies, and some alien paraphernalia.  The pictures and videos were dismissed by many as a hoax– mere models of miniature bonsai trees and a spaceship that is presumably handled by Meier or his wife.  The entire Meier case had become highly controversial: it would doubtlessly be hard for him to manufacture these crafty and complex models as he only has one arm, and the project would take at least a few more bored Swiss farmers with an odd sense of humor.  On the other hand, even his wife said that it was all a hoax (upon their divorce), and some of his pictures of aliens and dinosaurs (the aliens took him into the past to visit Earth) seem quite ludicrous.  Yet still, there have been more than 19 assassination attempts on Meier’s life, and Meier claims that hoax videos were planted in his evidence to discredit him.  His greatest evidence of Pleiadian contact was finally made with a metal alloy sample that was given to Meier and analyzed by a leading IBM scientist of 22 years – Marcel Vogel.  This is what Wikipedia has to say about the incident:

A chemist known for making claims about purported supernatural properties of quartz crystals, Marcel Vogel examined samples of metal provided by Meier with a scanning electron microscope. In 1979, Meier sent Vogel crystals and metal samples Meier claimed to have received from the Plejarens. Vogel reported, “When I touched the oxide with a stainless steel probe, red streaks appeared and the oxide coating disappeared. I just touched the metal like that, and it started to deoxidize and become a pure metal. I have never seen a phenomenon like that before.” Of another metal sample containing nearly every element in the periodic table, Vogel stated, “Each pure element was bonded to each of the others, yet somehow retained its own identity.” However, a scanning electron microscope cannot determine the atomic or molecular structure of a substance, calling into question his findings. He claimed, “Thulium exists only in minute amounts. It is exceedingly expensive, far beyond platinum, and rare to come by. Someone would have to have an extensive metallurgical knowledge even to be aware of a composition of this type”, said Vogel. Vogel was not a metallurgist. At 1600 X Vogel said, “A whole new world appears in the specimen. There are structures within structures – very unusual.” At 2500 X he found that the sample was, “metal, but at the same time … it is crystal!”

Since 1975, Meier had spurred a global interest and a worldwide following of all things Pleiadeian.  On the other hand, he was heavily ridiculed by the media.  Finally the pressure made him retreat into a secluded village life, where he is now surrounded by a tight group of local buddies who whole-heartedly believe in him and his story (some claim to have seen the aliens too).  Meier still keeps receiving his messages but now he has media reps in other countries who make them public, as in the case of Michael Horn in America.  Michael Horn has been making a name for himself based on his fascination with Meier, and his own interpretations of Meier’s messages.  Below is the latest documentary on Meier’s life and experiences, written by Horn himself and available only in part on youtube…

A YEAR OF PALINDROMES

Do you enjoy writing the date? Do you get particular satisfaction when you do so on days that provide a pattern, such as 01:02:03, which presented itself for Americans on January 2nd 2003 and for Europeans a little later, on February 1st? Sometimes the different order of day and month in American and European practice is unimportant: June 6th 2006 is 06:06:06 either way. Sometimes the order is crucial: two years hence Americans will be denied the pleasure of 31:1:13. But no numerological thrill-seeker need feel short-changed in 2011.

Europeans will get little patterns on the 11th of every month except October and December. Americans can look forward to a thrilling first nine days of November. Everyone will have their own 9:10:11. And 2011 will be special in two respects.

 Time for elevenses

First, it will bring 11:11:11. November 11th has been a significant date in many countries since 1918, when, at 11am that day, the armistice ending the first world war came into effect. In 2011 elevens will be everywhere, and for numbers nerds the excitement may be uncontrollable. For a start, 11 generates palindromes like no other number. Every child knows that 11 x 11 = 121, but how many know that 111 x 111 = 12,321 and that the progression goes on: 11,111 x 11,111 = 123,454,321 and, wow, 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321? Strangely, mathematicians insist 11 is a “strictly non-palindromic number”.

Second, like 2010, whose theme tune ran “I’ll sing you one, O”, it will bring a sprinkling of dates with nothing but noughts and ones. Since human beings have ten fingers, they have developed a system of counting based on ten. Computers have a system based on nought and one, shrunken digits they rather pathetically call “bits”. In an age of computers binary is cool. Ultra cool in 2011 will be to write the date in the sequences used in the binary system. That will be easy enough on January 1st (1:1:1011), but it will get harder: 31:12:11 is 11111:1100:1011.

So the fashion may not last. Another trend may assert itself. The new austerity calls for saying “twenty eleven” rather than “two thousand and eleven”, a 29% saving in syllables. Even bigger savings in terms of confusion forgone would come with an American decision to adopt the more logical European practice of writing the date in the order of day, month, year. And that’s a new year’s resolution that can start painlessly—on 1:1:11.

Leonardo was the son of a wealthy Italian merchant and traveled with his father from an early age.  He was also a great lover of mathematics and on one of their voyages, Leonardo discovered the Hindu-Arabic numeral system.  He quickly realized the greater effectiveness of these numerals when compared to the Roman ones, and became fascinated with this discovery - travelling all around the Mediterranean in order to learn more from the leading Arab mathematicians of the time.

In the year 1202, he published the Liber Abaci (or Book of Calculation), which spread the Hindu-Arabic numeral system throughout Europe.   In this mathematical manifesto, Leonardo Fibonacci also presented a series of numbers which he borrowed from Indian mathematics, a special pattern  of numbers that  became known as the Fibonacci numbers, and would fascinate the western world even today.

Now with 889 years of experience between themselves, the Grandmothers believe in the prophecies of their individual cultures which claim that an age of purification is upon us, and that all who turn to the spiritual as opposed to the material, will be cleansed.  Curiously, they also believe that some of their individual prophecies brought them together.
