In 2004, an interesting alliance formed at the Dalai Lama Center in New York:  The International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers.  These spiritual medicine women and activists of their communities came together from Native American, Mexican, Nepalese, Tibetan, and African cultures in order to share their experience and help to restore balance in our world.

Now with 889 years of experience between themselves, the Grandmothers believe in the prophecies of their individual cultures which claim that an age of purification is upon us, and that all who turn to the spiritual as opposed to the material, will be cleansed.  Curiously, they also believe that some of their individual prophecies brought them together.

This special council meets twice a year, whereupon the Grandmothers carry out a 7 day prayer vigil – each wearing their own traditional dress and carrying out their own prayers and ceremonies. Moreover, the work of this alliance has inspired the creation of “little circles of Grandmothers around the world.”  (Source Wikipedia)

Below is the trailer for the film entitled For the Next 7 Generations: The Grandmothers Speak.  It was directed by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Carole Hart, and it follows the charismatic Grandmothers as they meet and travel around the world.

“In the New Age we break free of centuries of false doctrines, destructive indoctrinations, absurd ideas, and children’s stories about God, education, medicine, and love. The corrupt foundations of false society crumble. This time of crises is not the signal of the end of the world. What comes is not the end, but the beginning. The dream humanity has lived for centuries ends and we awaken to a bright new day, a bright new way.”

This is a passage from my favorite interpretation of the Age of Aquarius. The entire text is inspiring, poetic, and quite realistic, with good descriptions of the actuality, idealism, and fakery of the New Age.

Remember this little ditty-turned-hymn of the hippie generation?  Apart from being a prophetic song about the upcoming age of Aquarius, the “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In” was also the only medley ever to make it to the number one position of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, as well as being listed on the Billboards’s Greatest Songs of all time.  A medley of the musical Hair songs “Aquarius” and “The Flesh Failures (Let The Sunshine In)”, it was released as a single by The 5th Dimension in 1969, and later certified into Platinum.  (source: Wikipedia)

Much debate has been shed over the Age of Aquarius, or more precisely, over the dates upon which it is assumed to begin.   Some say that we have already entered the transformative period from Pisces to Aquarius – that we are in fact in the cusp which connects the two signs.  Many events and happenings allude to an Aquarian presence in the world, from New Age trends and the deterioration of religion (religion being a very Piscean quality), to the greater communication and understanding that people now share.  Still others say that the Aquarian age won’t begin until 2062 and beyond (imagine how orgasmic we’ll feel by then, wow-wee!), while 2012 is gaining more and more hype as the official beginning of loving Aquaria!

As to the words of the song, a lot of dispute is being shed there as well, namely over the lyrics:  “When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars.” Many astrologers say that this happens frequently and is nothing too thrilling, while others claim that it sets future dates of great meanings and significance.  Ask the astronomers, and you get a wholly different opinion.

The way I see it, it goes something like this:  “harmony and understanding” – check, “sympathy and trust abounding”- check!!  …Now it seems as though we are in a great period of filtering  out the social, political, and religious manipulations, in order to get to – “no more falsehoods or derisions, golden living dreams of visions, mystic crystal revelation, and the mind’s true liberation – Aquarius!”   (…ORGASMIC Aquarius!)

“How long will presidents blind the visions of men?  …How long:  Not long!

… Because no lie can live forever… because you shall reap what you sow… because my eyes have seen the glory of the Lord…

Glory, Hallelujah! His truth is marching on!”

This great visionary who inspired people to rise above aggression and fear, to usher an era of greater respect and love between people, was also the greatest speaker of our time.  This was his last speech, delivered on the day before his assassination, and rendering his powerful message into a prophecy.

Edgar Cayce prophesized, a lot!  So what were his views on 2012?  Mostly dubbing it as the Age of Purity, Cayce claimed three things for the upcoming era:  a) that it will bring purity into the world, b) that a global consciousness will develop and c) that we will reach a height of consciousness which  we have not yet uncovered.  (Now I don’t know about you, but this sounds pretty orgasmic to me!)

Below is a 5 minute interview with Kevin Todeschi, the Executive director and CEO of the Edgar Cayce A.R.E. organization (Association for Research and Enlightenment) who talks objectively about Cayce’s predictions and states:

“A New World Order in this context is not about the supremacy of certain nations over other nations; instead, it is about a new focus for the world as a whole. That focus is about truly understanding that each and every one of us is Our Brothers/Sisters Keeper. In other words, we as individuals and as nations are responsible for every single individual who is less fortunate than ourselves.”

This is a very humanistic idea that has been heavily abused by western political parties, as it obviously appeals to the sentiments of people around the world.  In this context, Cayce is very reasonable; if  we can end the abuse of our ideals, we truly can develop a global purity and higher consciousness – a freedom and people power that was never possible before!

Deemed by many as the father of the New Age movement, Edgar Cayce was a devout Christian who brought the ideas of reincarnation, astral travelling, Atlantis, the Akashic records, and alternative medicine to western society.  He claimed that man is supposed to coordinate between the spiritual, mental, and physical aspects of life, and that each of us is here for a unique mission, with a unique life path.

“If you need to know what you need to work on in your life, look at the people that you keep attracting to you.  And if you want to know what you have to work with, look at the positive people in your life because you can see your own strengths and weaknesses in other people.”

Below is an introductory video about this fascinating man – his life story, work, family, psychic powers, and the general beliefs that he shared with so many people in the world.

Thought you knew all about them world prophecies?  Here you’ll find prophecies of even people you didn’t know existed!  It seems prophecizing has been all the rage since the dawn of man, and most of it has to do with the very time we’re living in.
